This is when the business operations most representative of SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group now – its Housing Operations – started developing full-scale.

After the oil crisis people's awareness and values changed with a shift of focus from 'quantity' to 'quality'. Harnessing the rich variation of products, we demonstrated our goal to contribute to people's everyday lives.

This slogan was created to coincide with the 40th anniversary of our founding. “SEKISUI for plastics” had developed into “SEKISUI for homes and daily life,” and on our 40th anniversary, a focus on venturing into even newer domains was adopted based on the idea that we had transformed into “SEKISUI, a multi-faceted company.

This slogan was selected by an internal company competition leading up to our 50th Anniversary. It clearly and intuitively displays our intention to contribute to people's everyday lives.

Efforts to protect the environment had become increasingly important for corporations. At SEKISUI CHEMICAL, we believed that creating environmentally-aware, cutting-edge technology helped improve the customer’s impression and satisfaction, and thus we established a new slogan with the aim of always providing new, fresh surprises to our customers.

“SHINKA” became the keyword expressing the 'evolution, enrichment and innovation' SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group is endeavoring to apply in our business operations.
